Hi Taylor A., we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always had a love for traveling, starting from a very young age. As I grew older and began earning my own money, that passion only grew. I’ve also always been extremely type A and intentional, so my trips were carefully curated and thoughtfully planned to create a true experience for everyone who traveled with me. Whether it was small touches in a welcome bag or arranging for a massage in your room so you could decompress after a long day, I’ve always believed that the little details make the journey memorable.

My friends loved following along on social media and would often comment on my adventures, encouraging me to start planning trips for other people. I began doing this on a word-of-mouth basis, and it gradually grew. Then I made a TikTok video sharing my “strict travel program,” and overnight it went viral, racking up 5 million views. People started reaching out, asking to travel with me, and that’s how I began hosting travel groups online.

The name of my business, The TAW Experience, was inspired by this philosophy. People would always tell me that every trip with me was a “true experience,” and since I often go by my initials, TAW, it felt like the perfect name. Since then, it has blossomed into a boutique travel brand dedicated to curating intentional, memorable adventures for every traveler.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The biggest challenge I’ve faced so far was having to cancel a large group trip planned for the first quarter of this year. A significant portion of my clients were government employees, and the trip was announced just before the government shutdown. As a result, many had to prioritize their livelihoods, so I wasn’t able to move forward with that particular experience. That was disappointing at the time, but overall, from a broader business perspective, things have actually been going even better than I anticipated.

I’ve been extremely fortunate to be on the positive side of the internet. My business was doing moderately well through word of mouth, but after my first video went viral, inquiries started coming in from all directions. For the most part, things have been going spectacularly—I create individualized trips for clients, and as a result of my online presence, I’ve recently expanded into broader group trips, specializing in group solo travel. This is for people who are eager to explore but don’t necessarily have travel companions—they want the energy and community of a group experience. I love creating camaraderie through my trips, and people have been absolutely loving it.

With a lifelong passion for exploration and a love for crafting intentional experiences, I’ve turned my personal wanderlust into extraordinary journeys for myself and those around me—what we like to say is: “get the trip out the group chat”

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I moved to Dallas right after graduating from undergrad, and at first, I felt like a fish out of water. What I immediately loved—and still love—is that Dallas really feels like a city for everyone. Whether you’re a young n’ turnt, bachelorette, or a married parent with two kids, there’s something here for you. The city is full of opportunity, incredible food, and amazing shopping.
What I like least is how spread out everything is. I’m intentional about staying within a particular radius, but sometimes you have to go on a “voyage” across the city, and it can definitely take a lot out of you.
