Hi Tiphany, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
As I reflect on my journey, I’m often amazed by the incredible twists and turns that have led me to where I am today. I was born and raised in Belize, Central America. Growing up in Belize, life was very different from what I would later experience in the United States. In a small, close-knit community, little girls like me dreamed of big things, but the path to achieving those dreams was often unclear. Despite the challenges, I was blessed with a loving and supportive family that instilled in me a strong work ethic and a passion for excellence. My parents, though they came from humble beginnings, made sure I understood the value of perseverance and hard work. They kept me grounded, always reminding me that dreams are attainable, but only through dedication, diligence, and resilience. I vividly remember a conversation I had with my dad when I was 12. He shared with me the importance of hard work, telling me that if I stayed dedicated, the results would follow. As someone with a strong business mindset, he often spoke about successful entrepreneurs and the journeys they took to build their businesses. Those words have stayed with me ever since, serving as a constant reminder of the value of perseverance and the long-term rewards that come from commitment and diligence. His affirmations shaped my belief that hard work and dedication could turn dreams into reality. Being the eldest of eight siblings, I also learned early on the importance of leadership, responsibility, and setting a positive example for my younger siblings. My mother, especially, emphasized discipline and the power of staying focused on what matters most. These early lessons shaped my character and continue to influence the way I approach both my personal and professional life today, especially as I raise my two beautiful daughters.
In 1999, I made the life-changing decision through parental guidance to move to Los Angeles, which came with its own set of challenges. The cultural shift was significant, but it was a transformative time that set the foundation for my career. My professional journey started in humble roles—waiting tables and working in home health care with the elderly. Looking back, it’s hard to believe how far I’ve come. It’s a journey that still brings tears to my eyes at times, knowing how much hard work and resilience it took to get to this point.
A pivotal moment in my life came when I married my soulmate and moved to Dallas. With his love and support, I embarked on a new chapter that propelled me to accomplish things I had only dreamed of. Dallas offered me a fresh start—one where I embraced the challenges of relocating, adapting to new cultures, and navigating the academic rigors of American education. Through perseverance, I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, an MBA in Finance from Louisiana State University Shreveport, and I’m currently pursuing my PhD in Organization and Management leadership. I am a firm believer that education is a lifelong endeavor; it’s not just about the degrees, but about continually evolving and growing as a person. I’ve been fortunate to work in several finance roles that exercised my leadership and autonomous capacities, including roles as Vice President in wealth management, where I’ve had the privilege of supporting and guiding clients toward financial success. This experience, coupled with my passion for make-up, fashion, and entrepreneurship, led me to found Tiffy Glam Cosmetics—my venture dedicated to empowering others, especially women and young girls, to embrace their inner and outer beauty with confidence.
In addition to my work as a CEO, I’m also an empowerment author. My book, Breaking Free from Codependency, was written to help individuals break free from the limitations that hold them back and take control of their own destinies. I believe that everyone has the potential to thrive when they have the tools and the mindset to succeed. This is a message I try to share every day in my professional and personal life.
Above all, family remains my foundation. As a wife and mother, I am deeply committed to empowering my daughters with the confidence, resilience, and ambition to pursue their dreams. I want them to know that they can achieve anything they set their minds to. Believing in themselves and executing with purpose are the keys to success. Through every high and low, I’ve learned that life is not just about reaching a destination, but about embracing the journey. The struggles, the victories, and the people who’ve crossed my path have all contributed to shaping the person I am today. I am eternally grateful for each lesson and experience that has helped mold me into the woman, entrepreneur, and mother I am proud to be.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Navigating my personal and professional journey has been a transformative, yet imperfect process. While I’ve been fortunate to experience numerous successes, I’ve also encountered my fair share of challenges and disappointments.
One of the most significant struggles I faced was figuring out where I truly fit—what I was meant to do with my life—and how to balance my personal aspirations with my commitments as a young wife. My husband and I were both very young when we married, and juggling the demands of our relationship with the pursuit of my education was incredibly challenging. There were moments when I felt torn between my personal responsibilities and my professional goals, unsure of how to move forward. It took time and perseverance to find harmony in these areas, but with patience and determination, we both managed to succeed despite the obstacles.
Initially, my academic path was focused on pre-med, a field I had felt drawn to. But as I continued my studies, I realized that my true passion lay elsewhere—specifically in finance. Making the transition from a pre-med track to the finance sector was not easy. It required me to challenge my preconceived notions, push through moments of uncertainty, and embrace a new set of skills and knowledge. It took a lot of perseverance, adaptability, and the willingness to learn, but it was a necessary shift that aligned with my aspirations.
The finance industry itself came with its own set of hurdles—intense competition, high-stakes decision-making, and the continuous pressure to stay ahead in a fast-paced environment. On top of that, I struggled with the internal challenges of self-doubt, imposter syndrome, and the weight of societal expectations. I often questioned if I was truly qualified to succeed in this field and whether I could truly balance everything I was aiming for—my career, my marriage, and my personal growth.
However, it was through these struggles that I discovered my capacity for growth and resilience. Overcoming adversity revealed my voice as an advocate for empowerment and fueled my passion for entrepreneurship. I’ve come to see challenges not as insurmountable obstacles, but as invaluable opportunities for learning, self-discovery, and growth.
Looking back, I can honestly say that the difficult moments were often the most transformative. They taught me the importance of embracing challenges with courage, remaining true to my values, and fostering resilience. My journey continues to evolve, and I remain committed to empowering others through the lessons I’ve learned along the way.
As I move forward, I am more determined than ever to live authentically, pursue my passions, and support those around me in finding their own strength and potential.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up in Belize was an incredible experience and I miss it. It’s a beautiful country, filled with friendly people and a tight-knit community where neighbors are like family. My dad, who worked as an out-of-district salesman, would take us on family trips to Bacalar Chico and bring us delicious foods on return from his business trips, Chinese was particularly a treat on the weekends—a simple tradition we all looked forward to. This evokes memories of a simpler time when my mother would lovingly create a homemade Ludo board for us to enjoy. As children, we eagerly anticipated those moments, made even more special by her hearty stew beans and tender ground beef. It was a period of carefree innocence—childhood with no worries. These moments left a lasting impression on me, reminding me of the importance of connection and family.
As a child, I was always immersed in creativity. Whether it was crafting stories, teaching my younger siblings, experimenting with makeup, dancing, or writing, I constantly found new ways to express myself. At the same time, I was a voracious reader—anything from science to history to philosophy. Books helped broaden my perspective and fueled my curiosity, which laid the foundation for my academic and professional journey.
Looking back, I see how my perfectionist tendencies shaped my drive. While that trait has driven me to push beyond my comfort zone and pursue my goals with dedication, it’s also led to moments of self-doubt and anxiety. But l’ve learned to be kinder to myself, to embrace my imperfections, and to focus on progress, not perfection. My childhood and teenage years were instrumental in shaping me into the person I am today. Those experiences, lessons, and relationships continue to inspire me to stay curious, creative, and committed to personal growth and self-improvement. I’m grateful for my humble beginnings and the values my parents instilled in me. And I’m still learning, still growing, and still figuring things out – just like everyone else!
