Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronica Calzada.
Hi Veronica, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started Face Painting DFW Entertainment in 2012, almost by accident. A teammate from my softball team had a connection in the event industry and mentioned they needed a face painter. She asked if I’d be interested, and I decided to go for it. I bought my supplies, practiced every day, and within two weeks I was working my first event.
From there, I quickly saw the potential and went out on my own. I had previously tried building a marketing agency, so I’ve always had an entrepreneurial mindset, but this business felt like a perfect fit. It combined creativity with scalability, and it quickly became both fulfilling and highly profitable.
Over the years, I’ve grown Face Painting DFW Entertainment into a full-service event entertainment company, offering face painting, balloons, and more with a team of talented artists. We’ve had the opportunity to work large-scale events, including being hired by Esports for the Rocket League World Championship at Dickies Arena.
As the business continued to grow, we expanded into a second market with Face Painting Colorado Entertainment, allowing us to serve clients across multiple states and continue scaling our team and operations.
Most recently, we secured a contract to provide entertainment services for FIFA World Cup 2026 events in Dallas—one of the main host cities. Being part of an event at that level is a huge milestone for our company and a reflection of how far we’ve come.
My husband has supported me since day one and has been a major part of my journey. Because of his support, I’ve never been afraid to take risks or continue growing the business. What started as a single opportunity has grown into a multi-state company, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I would say it’s been a really smooth and rewarding journey overall. I’ve had two kids along the way, and this business has given me the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom while still building something meaningful. It’s allowed me to support my family, create opportunities for my team, and fund our lifestyle.
We are genuinely a small, family-owned business, and that’s something I take a lot of pride in. The success of the business directly impacts my family and the people on my team, which makes it even more meaningful. It’s truly been a huge blessing for us.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Face painting DFW Entertainment +?
Face Painting DFW Entertainment is a full-service event entertainment company specializing in face painting, balloon twisting, and interactive experiences for events of all sizes. We serve everything from private parties and school events to large-scale corporate activations and festivals.
What sets us apart is our ability to operate at both a high-volume and high-quality level. We don’t just provide artists—we provide a seamless experience. Our team is made up of skilled, professional artists who are fast, consistent, and great with guests, which is critical when working larger events with high traffic.
We’re known for our reliability, professionalism, and ability to staff and execute events at scale while still maintaining a personal, friendly experience for each guest. Over the years, we’ve built strong relationships within the event industry, which has led to opportunities to work major events, including the Rocket League World Championship at Dickies Arena and most recently being contracted for FIFA World Cup 2026 events in Dallas.
As the business has grown, we’ve expanded into a second market with Face Painting Colorado Entertainment, allowing us to serve multiple regions while continuing to build a strong, dependable team.
What I’m most proud of is that we’ve built a business that not only supports our family but also creates consistent opportunities for our artists. We’ve been able to grow while maintaining that small, family-owned feel, where quality, trust, and relationships matter.
At the end of the day, we want people to know that when they book with us, they’re getting a professional, reliable team that knows how to show up, represent their event well, and create a fun, memorable experience for their guests.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I’d say the biggest thing I’d want to share is how much the support from our community has meant to us. It’s what allows us to keep our artists consistently working, doing what they love, and making a real income from it.
That’s something I’m incredibly proud of. Being able to create opportunities for my team and help support them in their own lives and goals is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. It’s more than just a business—it’s something that directly impacts the people behind it.
