Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrianna Garcia.
So, before we jump into specific questions about what you do, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
As a little girl, I always remember playing with my mother’s makeup when she wasn’t around. Putting everything back in its places before she came home from work. It never worked because for some reason moms always found out everything. I was invited to be in quite a few Sweet 15’s and my mother would do my hair and makeup for the occasion. I absolutely loved it!! I would do what I could with what I had.
When I was 19 years old, my big brother bought me my first colorful eyeshadow palette because he has seen how much I loved it and my passion for it. That’s when I started getting creative with colors. Even if I looked like Mimi Bobek from the Drew Carey show I was the happiest girl! I still have the palette he bought me just as a memory. <3
Makeup is definitely my favorite hobby! It’s my way of having “Me time”. For fun, I became a certified international makeup artist! Not because I needed it for clientele or to make money but because it was a goal of mine to have that title and I did it. 🙂
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
When it comes to makeup, my advice would be to KEEP PRACTICING!! Do it every single day if it’s something you want to learn. Practice on your mom and family members because there is no better way of perfecting makeup than to apply it to different skin tones and textures! Watch every tutorial you can. You don’t have to buy the most expensive makeup or brushes. It’s all in the wrist.
What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of? What sets you apart from others?
My all-time favorite thing to create is Halloween makeup. I love to use bright colors. Body painting and drawing on my face is definitely what I look forward to when it comes to creating. I’ve always been pretty good at drawing and I think that helped with the steady hand. 🙂 There’s a lot that I’m proud of when it comes to my makeup but most definitely the improvement over the years.
