Conversations with the Inspiring Laitavyia “Tay” Loring

Today we’d like to introduce you to Laitavyia “Tay” Loring.

Laitavyia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Since 5 years old, I have been singing, acting, dancing, writing, public speaking and at the rate, I was going. My family and friends knew for a fact that I was either going to get a recording contract or acting deal but God had other plans for me.

God needed me to help young ladies in the areas where I secretly had my most insecurities. As a result, EminentGoldLineXL formerly known as EGXL was created. No one really knows my true story but I heal through helping other young ladies feel beautiful, powerful, special, valued, worthy, repescted by offering services through fashion, beauty, modeling and as a publicist and brand manager.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Baby, no, lol. See, I use to hear all the time, “Many are called but few are chosen”. I did not know what that really meant until i started EGXL. All the struggles I went through as a college student drop out, mental, physical and emotional abuse, failed industry opportunities, being betrayed by friends in the worst way, experiencing every good and bad you can in a relationship with ONE person and I mean EVERYTHING, turbulent family issues, being the black sheep everywhere and becoming a single mother really broke me down in the worst way.

I use to think sometimes, like God, why have you forsaken me. God, what have I done to experience all types of pain at such a young age? Why do so many people trust me with their problems, creative ideas and come to me when they have nobody and I’m the one secretly broke down, u just wanna sing and that’s it? Every now and then, God would flash a ray of sunlight on me to remind me, Baby girl I got you. Somebody in this world needs what you have and I feel safe for you to provide it for them. The pain won’t last always and it’s light at the end of the tunnel for you but you must trust me. Your gifts are deeper than just singing. Your voice needs to touch in multiple ways. So, I remind myself of that ray of sunlight he flashes so I can keep going.

The advise I would give my Queens is baby keep pushing. There is a God that sits high but looks low and he can see everything you can’t. Trust your creativity and the vision God has given you. Give your gifts your all and don’t settle for no one. You are not crazy. When you think about giving up, take a glance back at that ray of sunshine he gave you for you to be where you are today. Many are called but few are chosen so “wearyour👑proudly”

What should we know about EminentGoldLineXL? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
EminentGoldLineXL is Media and Production company. I am a Publicist, Brand Manger, and Creative director.
I am known for my singing and fashions show I started doing in 2016.

I am most proud of the fashions that I do for Domestic Violence Awareness is March called “Royal Redemption”. This upcoming March will be my 3rd show and I’m just blown away how far I have come. The Royal Redemption Fashion is a 4/5 month process. I look for local upcoming fashion designers, models, stylist, hairstylist, MUA’s, photographers, videographers, and assistants ALL women STAFF preferably to help me put together a production show for the community. During this process, I am teaching about the industry, how to put on a production show, how to think creatively and outside the box. I am also pushing the majority of them to really trust themselves because most of them never did a show, promotion video, walked a runway or did more that one client in a time crunch. So, it’s just exciting to see the girls feel accomplished and inspired after the show is over. EGXL is a family and a sisterhood so we all learn to respect each other, bond and xo exist even when the show is over because you never know who you may need along down the line.

What sets me apart from other is that fact that I have actually done what I am asking of others to do for me. If it is something that I have not done, I will humble myself and do it. I want the girls to know that no matter how high or accomplished you are, no one is exempt from learning and experiencing new things. I will not ever teach, advise or counsel on something that I have not done or wouldn’t do. I don’t just hire girls for jobs or go on jobs to just work. I want to know who I’m working with, form a connection even if it’s for just a moment, have fun and leave with a new perspective. When the girls leave me they have a new sister, a person they can fall for anything, a new perspective, plug, lol, and a better understanding of the industry they have chosen to pursue.

Do you have a lesson or advice you’d like to share with young women just starting out?
I would say take the time to understand who you are as a woman and as a career woman. Knowing who you are, sets the tone for how you will value your craft and the level of respect you will acquire from people. Not everybody will support you nor believe in you but you believe in you. Trust your guts and follow your heart. Keep God in the center of everything that you do. There will be good days and bad days but be aware that the same God that was yesterday is the same God today. “Wear yours👑proudly!”
