Today we’d like to introduce you to Moxiee D.
Moxiee, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Got my start working at Nordstrom’s as a personal stylist/shopper. That’s really where I learned a lot about my business. Once I saw I could take care of my clients outside of one store and be able to provide a service that was out beating people working in department stores. I never looked back. This is also when I developed a love for styling not just everyday people but editorial styling. Which since I started that journey, I’ve been blessed to have almost every shoot published. Which proved to me that maybe I was a little good at it. Since then I’ve added editorial styling to my list of services I provide. So now, I’m pretty much an overall stylist. Not only personal Stylings but also editorial styling. Which is great because, in fashion, you have to have to be able to multiple things to really get ahead in this fashion world.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Hasn’t been a smooth road, but what God has for you nobody can stop it. No mentor, and it’s okay if you don’t have one. Just remember, you are your brand ALL the time, no matter where you are. Don’t be afraid to speak up about your brand. Word of mouth is your best tool.

Specialize in customer service! I provide personal shopping/styling, closet clean outs, editorial styling, commercial styling, and custom suiting.
What do you feel are the biggest barriers today to female leadership, in your industry or generally?
Getting people to take you seriously, but if your prepared and ready then that shouldn’t stop you.
