Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex Gaston-White.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m originally from Oakland, Ca moved to Texas 6 years ago. I moved to make a better life, an affordable life. I had $200 to my name when I moved to the DFW in my Honda Civic coupe. I made my footing in the financial markets/Wealth management industry (stocks, bonds, mutual funds etc). Bought a house at 27 last year in 2020 with my girlfriend. God moved mountains for me to be where I am at today.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
For the first two years of transitioning I stayed with my parents. It was tough trying to find a job and make new friends especially that paid a decent salary to then get my first apartment. Once I did though, I was off to the races to pursue finance.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I work in the financial markets/wealth management firm. I am most proud of being able to speak to clients on my knowledge and strategies and they like the feedback I provide.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory was being able to go to almost every SF 49ers game with my grandparents every so often.
