Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was inspired to create the Outdoor Light Soc during the holiday season when he couldn’t find light bulbs of assorted colors to fit the permanent uplighting fixtures on his home.
Without changing the fixtures or purchasing bulky-colored floodlights, I wanted to find an easy way to add colored lighting or color accents to the outside of the home for a special gathering, holiday, or any occasion.
Using high-tempered colored gel sheets and tape, I made a dome-shaped removable cap to cover the fixtures, and voila!
The Outdoor Light Soc was born.
The Outdoor Light Soc is the first-of-its-kind lighting accessory. It adds a coloring effect that’s mood-enhancing and perfect for any occasion: holidays, special events, celebrations, or general lighting preference.
Manufactured through a proprietary process, these stretchable heat-resistant covers fit over LED exterior uplighting/bullet lighting fixtures to accent a home or business at night.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I’ve learned that giving up is easy and you cannot be afraid of hard work.
One of the most challenging parts of this journey has been learning and inserting myself into an industry I have no pervious knowledge or understanding of.

You may not hear stories like this very often, but I started my professional career washing cars and now work for a Fortune 500 company for 13 years in Vehicle Technology Operations and Planning. However, my passion is “being creative”. I own my own marketing agency, BKreative Media Solutions, LLC along with my business partner Ken Elliott going on for 13 years, specializing in marketing and custom website development.
Being an entrepreneur has taught me a lot and aided me in the successful launch of the Outdoor Light Soc. This success was measured by being able to receive a patent and trademark pending for the product.
