Conversations with Britni Jordan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Britni Jordan.

Hi Britni, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised in Fort Worth, TX, and shortly before my 4th-grade year, my family and I moved to, at the time, a small city called Midlothian, TX. Growing up, I was the “Wild Child,” and quite honestly, my parents were worried because I had a mind of my own and an attitude to go with it. I’ve always been the loudest in the room and ready to mingle with everyone. From an early age, I’ve never been good with “going with the flow.” I always had to make sure there was a Plan and a Plan B… and maybe even a Plan C at times. Although I’ve learned not everything can be planned, it doesn’t hurt to have one!

From the time I can remember, my house was always under construction of some sort. My parents’ never-ending home improvement projects meant there was always something to explore, paint, or rebuild. This, I believe, is where my love of home design first began.

I met my spouse, Hunter, just before I graduated from high school. Even though we had mutual friends and were aware of one another, we hadn’t actually met until graduation night. We clicked right away, and after a short time, we starting dating. After five years, he proposed in April 2021, and we eloped to Las Vegas, NV, where we got married by the mountains in October 2022. We currently live in DFW with our two corgis, Kimber and Finn. We love to Fly, hang with Friends and Family, and try new foods.

Hunter has always had a love for flying, and together in 2017, we launched Never Fly Dirty, an aircraft detailing business, mainly to help pay for his ratings. This venture has exceeded our expectations in more ways than one, and after years of hard work, Hunter is now a corporate pilot, and our business has taken off. I’ve had a lot of jobs over the years in an effort to find one that I could be as passionate about as Hunter is with flying. Working at a private airport and running Never Fly Dirty on the side allowed me to fully immerse myself in the aviation industry. Even though I loved it and the relationships I made, I always knew that, despite my best efforts, my heart wasn’t entirely in it. I still desired something of my own and knew I wasn’t going to be happy until I found that.

In November of 2022, I decided that this was the best timing for me to leave my job and find what I was passionate about. Over the years, I’ve always found myself going back to Real Estate and knew that this was now or never. I started at Champions School of Real Estate, and I had set a goal to be licensed no later than January 2023. I did just that.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Of course, I’ve faced difficulties; they are a part of change. Making the decision to leave my full-time job and embark on a new venture was really difficult. It has not been easy to establish a career that is quite expensive on little to no income. Even after all the planning & advice, I was still going in blindly. At times, I’ve felt overwhelmed and wanted to give up. It’s really easy to get stuck in your head, but you just have to keep going; the effort will be worthwhile in the end.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a DFW Realtor with Rogers Healy And Associates, and I also provide free apartment locating services. I have a fantastic Brokerage supporting me every step of the way while I’m still learning the ropes in this industry and slowly establishing my business. I work with all price ranges and areas, and even if you aren’t quite ready, I can still provide you with any guidance you may require beforehand. I thrive on relationships, so it’s exciting to know that I can both assist someone in finding their dream house and establish a lifelong friendship. What sets me apart is my natural drive to be a leader and help others in need. Knowing I get to be a part of someone’s next chapter is so gratifying to me. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for both my Clients and I.
