Conversations with Chelsea Mack

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea Mack.

Hi Chelsea, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I started my travel business in May 2020 due to my cousin introducing me to a network marketing company called PlannetMarketing and simply asking me, “Would I like to make money on my own travel and help others do the same” and of course, I said, YES! I always wanted to be my own boss, and this opportunity allowed that for me since I was traveling already.

From that point, I created my own brand called Macknificent Travel and Marketing and became an independent contractor of a host agency that sells independent travel agencies to people who are interested in creating a residual and supplemental income through travel.

Now in 2023, I’ve been able to help over 20 families in my network do the same thing and plan various travel all over the world for friends and family.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Smooth road as an e-Commerce business owner and network marketer that’s a trick question, right? Of course not! (laughing)

Now this is a two-part question for me because I have two businesses.

The challenges are always there as a travel professional because you just never know what may happen on people’s trip, i.e., cancelled flights, medical issues, lost luggage, etc., which is why insurance is important. But the key is just always be prepared and knowledgeable about your product to make feel customers feel safe and comfortable.

My immediate challenges with network marketing was just learning how to be coachable, consistent and changing my mindset about this style of business.

I’ve learned that being in business for myself and building my relationships with people is challenging. It’s hard to change habits and mindsets, but it can be done with time and willingness.

Overall, the biggest challenge is for people to see your vision and how valuable it is to have multiple streams of income in today’s economic climate.

My business has helped me in more ways than one, but mostly mentally and financially. So, I am hopeful I can continue to help others the same, and they see the vision, too.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
So, I am a travelpreneur and network marketer. What I do is book travel, save on my own travel and/or make the commission, sell travel agencies, network, and build a network with others who love to travel to create the same type of work environment in the travel industry.

My niche in travel is wellness retreats, adventure, and luxury travel for individuals, couples, groups, and families.

I am most proud of making the decision to start my travel business because I am able to travel more for less and getting fulfilled to help change people’s lives by capitalizing on an opportunity that most are doing today.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What I like most is the diversity in the city young and thriving adults in age groups of 25-40 from different races, backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures, and languages.

What I like least is the driving and traffic. Thank goodness for tollways, but the drivers are horrible. I call them speed demons.
