Conversations with Cody Lawrence

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cody Lawrence.

Hi Cody, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My dad was a framer. I am 50 years old. I was on the job site in a backpack while he framed as a baby. I was called to do this type of work. It hasn’t been easy though. I have raan multi million dollar companies that weren’t mine that did very well. Ive had to learn from the school offhand knocks. I have made some business decisions in the passed with some partners I shouldn’t have and have lost it all. Only to have a second chance and do again! But this time with purpose, including God in all of it. We are excited and thrilled to serve the community we serve and are partnered up with some of the best material vendors in the business. I feel what sets us apart are those unique partnerships I have been able to forge with some of the most elite vendors such as Pella, Provia, TimberTech with lifetime warranties. We pride ourselves in being ale to provide our customers with the best products at the best possible pricing. My background started in building, moved to structure moving and house moving all throughout the coast in the Southern regions Texas to Louisiana and all along the Wast coast New Jersey and Long Island New York. I had a thriving business in Long Island that was noted as the fastest growing company and awarded me with Executive of the year Golden Bridge awards. I have also won awards with such organizations as Texas assoc. Of Structrual Movers, International Assoc. of Structural Movers, Best of Azle, Long Island Builders Assoc. and NARI-National Assoc. Of Remodelers Industry. Today my passion lies in God, Family, and my community. I love to beautify homes and spread the love of Jesus wherever I go.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No. As I said finding and building the right team is key. Making sure everyone is equally yoked and on the same page. This si the secret to a winning team! I have made hiring mistakes and crucial business mistakes by partnering up instead of doing it on my own.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
One of the things Id like to mention is my partnership with Servolution Network. They are a charity. They do what’s called a good neighbors blitz 2 times per year. Our Fall blitz is coming up this Friday and Saturday. We revitalize with the help of many donors, volunteers, etc. 18-20 homes across a few cities in 2 DAYS!!! It’s amazing what God can do. We are blessing our community through our obedience, a lot of the recipients are Veterans, Widows, Elderly that cannot take care of thier homes so we revitalize theses homes to help them age in place. We love blessing people!!!

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Make God center of your business you are going to need him to walk through the times it seems hopeless. Save as much as you can for when work slows down.
