Conversations with Courtney Boggs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney Boggs.

Hi Courtney, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
So Much More grew out of a desire to help people bring out their inner beauty, whether it be by hair and makeup or styling with the latest trends. As a freelance hair and makeup artist I started in pageants because my two girls were competing. As time went on all three of my children started acting and modeling which brought me into that world. Once people started seeing more of my work, I was hired for private photo shoots and retreats which then led to runway. For the past few years, I have been the lead Hair and Makeup Artist for Premier Top Model and Runway. Once I sold my other company, I was able to focus on So Much More full time. My daughter’s line, Sunflower by Race Austyn started really growing around the same time so together we opened the mobil boutique and began doing pop ups around the DFW area. Now I am so blessed to be able to be home with my 3 beautiful children and make my own schedule as well as travel anytime I want. As a family we have been from LA to NYC and so many stops between because of So Much More.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting the mobil boutique was something completely new for me. My daughter, Race and I have attended training weekends together and watched multiple videos online to learn all we could about starting a boutique. Luckily, I owned a company for 21 years so I new enough about starting a business and we both had the desire to! Learning all the ins and outs of inventory and building a website have been tough at times but we’ve done it. It’s been a lot of trial and error and I’m sure there will be more but it’s worth it!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
So Much More offers more than just a boutique we also offer hair and makeup services, tanning, styling and events! I think being the director and lead Hair and Makeup for Prestige is probably one of the things I am most proud of. Every February and September we go to New York for fashion week where I lead a group of 30-40 artist and together, we have 100-150 models in one day! The model group is more like family to me, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to know and love all of them and their families.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
It’s not just about doing hair and makeup or selling clothing, it’s about the friendships I have made along the way. So Much More is just that, So Much More!
