Conversations with Cris Garcia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cris Garcia.

Hi Cris, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
As my third time being featured in this amazing magazine, I do not want to repeat any encounters we may have had before. With that being said;

The joy is in the work. Doesn’t matter when, where, how, or why you start; just that you do.

The end goal will be a lost opportunity if in the journey you don’t pause and smell the roses, celebrate the little wins, show gratitude to what is and what is in the rear mirror.

I am here today because I continuously ask myself; what does Cris want to be when she grows up and stay true and genuine to my intention.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
You may absolutely hate my answer, but I will be speaking from feelings rather than actual moments. A smooth road teaches you nothing. The more corse the journey the chance you get to realize your strength, drive, quickness of getting back up when you trip, how bravely you knock on the next door when the first one closes. You learn you. You are worthy of the path less traveled; take it!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
What I do Is hair and makeup. That is what I tell others when they ask. But I genuinely believe what I do has more depth than JUST hair and makeup. It is connection, meeting my clients where they are energetically, hearing their heart when they speak. I feel rewarded by the connection of my clients and I.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My mom is a huge inspiration. She listens to hear; her heart is so open as is her mind. She’s my she-ro! I bounce ideas off of her and with her input will make moves accordingly. Not many people have someone like her in their corner. Thank you, mama, 💗
