Hi Judy, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I made my way into professional DJing on accident. I’d been interested in learning, but I never knew where or how to start. I got my big chance in STL when my DJ needed a potty break, but the music couldn’t stop. Somebody had to step in. The music never stopped, and nobody stopped dancing. It’s been uphill since for me.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been pretty smooth for the most part. The biggest struggle is battling nervousness with different crowds-never truly knowing what to really play or expect with various people in a room.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a DJ that specializes in quality vibe curation. If I’d have to choose something that I’m known for, it would be my transitions for sure. Always smooth and typically unpredictable. I’m most proud of being able to share my love for music with others uninterrupted for hours at a time. What sets me apart? I’d have to say my willingness to teach others how to do what I do in their own way.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success to me is teaching others alternate ways to achieve their goal. If I got it out the mud, then those coming after me should be getting it out of the garden.
