Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started as a beauty professional offering lash extensions and waxing, and then added loc services. Just a young woman who simply loved making other women feel beautiful and confident. What began as a service behind the chair turned into something bigger — a full beauty brand built with passion, prayer, and persistence. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats: stylist, marketer, product creator, and business owner. My path hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge shaped me into the woman I am today — a mom, entrepreneur, and a woman determined to build something meaningful. This is more than business to me; it’s purpose.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been easy. This journey has had its fair share of challenges. Some days, weeks, and months are absolutely amazing — and others can be downright terrifying. But through it all, I show up. I pray. I push through. Becoming a mom, getting married, going through a divorce, losing friends, losing clients, and then gaining even better things — it’s all shaped me. Seven years later, I’m still here, stronger and more grounded than ever.

I’m the owner of Elleuminating Beauty Studios and Ravished Crowns — a beauty, hair and body care brand that focuses on healthy scalp and hair growth. I also offer beauty services specializing in microlocks, sisterlocks, lash extensions, brow services, and waxing. My specialty is creating solutions that help women not only look good but feel confident from the inside out.
What I’m most proud of is that I built everything from the ground up — no investors, just faith, consistency, and hard work. What truly sets me apart is the way I care for my clients. I don’t just offer a service; I create a safe space where women feel seen, cared for, and empowered. My products are formulated with purpose — to bring relief, growth, and confidence to women dealing with real hair and scalp concerns. This isn’t just business for me; it’s ministry, healing, and legacy.
How do you define success?
I define success as freedom — the freedom to create, to provide for my family, to build something from the ground up and watch it grow. Success to me is also about growth — mentally, spiritually, and financially. It’s knowing I’m not where I started, and I’m still becoming everything I’m meant to be.
