Conversations with Erica Miller

Today we’d like to introduce you to Erica Miller.

Erica Miller

Erica, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My Trend is me started in 2018. I realized I was very resourceful in helping women find something to wear for special occasions. From behind the chair in the hair salon to diving into the world of fashion! This is where I discovered me. All the things that I embraced about myself to help build other woman.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road as a stylist comes with many challenges. In comparison to the road being smooth or rough, I would say smooth. The challenge doesn’t make the road rough; the obstacles create agility. Showing you how to use your brain to figure out the best next. As a stylist, you have to stay connected to the trends of the season, so you can always provide great service. When you trust your drive, it makes for a smooth ride.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a personal stylist and personal shopper. I specialize in the career-driven woman, assisting her in her wardrobe, providing her with skills on what to wear from day to night. From measurements for undergarments to the best suit to wear for the big interview. One thing that sets me apart as a personal stylist, is being hands-on with my clients. Servicing the client’s direct need. I become very common and connected with my client to service her need as if we are in the fitting room. Knowing how to read your client sets you apart from an online questionnaire. I was taught as a stylist by what some called seasoned women. Always make your client feel that you are necessary for their lives. Keep it personal.

What do you think about luck?
I never say I’m lucky. I always say I’m blessed. Luck is when you find a penny on the ground. When you receive new clients that helps build your life, luck has nothing to do with it. My business is driven by how I act towards people. How I service people and how I act from a distance. When you know you are blessed, you don’t take anything for granted in life or business.
