Today we’d like to introduce you to Erin Marie Garrett
Hi Erin Marie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I work as an actress, model and singer.
Currently I’m lead singer for a Dallas, Texas rock band called Love Sick Drug.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve faced a lot of rejection. This industry is so fickle and you really never know what’s going to happen. But if you love what you do, sometimes the right people will see your hard work and give you a shot.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
When I’m working as an actress if it’s film or TV -they usually are long days (12 to 16 hours) but I’m with people that are the same as me all creatives. If I’m performing live , it’s usually for corporate events or private parties so everybody’s having a great time. When I’m singing, I work as a fairytale princess and I’m a singer in a Dallas-based rock band -so I’m a bit of a chameleon you could say!
How do you think about luck?
Goodness, I really don’t have the answer to that! I’m am still working hard at moving the needle forward. I do think having the right connections doesn’t hurt though!
