Ernest , thanks for joining us again. Just to level set a bit for folks who may have missed our last interview together, can you briefly introduce yourself?
Thank you for welcoming me back! It’s wonderful to be here with all of you.
I am Ernest Musik, a talented Neo-Soul Gospel singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Cleburne, Texas. I discovered my passion for music in junior high school in 2006, and I have been dedicated to perfecting my craft ever since.
My musical journey began with several music groups, which were a tremendous blessing in my life at the time. However, I felt I was destined for more, so in 2013, I decided it was time to venture out on my own and become a solo artist.
From 2017 to November 2021, I was signed with Renew Your Mind Records, during which time I released two albums: “From the Heart” and “One Journey to Another.” After my contract ended, I founded an independent production company called “EM.ENT,” aimed at spreading the message of the Gospel through various forms of media.
I am currently working on my EP titled “The Ernest Musik Experience.” The first single from the EP, “Send The Rain,” is set to be released on January 31, 2025, on all streaming platforms worldwide.
Alright, so our main goal today is to give our audience an update on what you have been up to since our last conversation. We’d love to hear how things are going and what you are most looking forward to or excited about these days.
Since our last meeting, I decided to return to school to earn my degree in audio engineering. One of my biggest dreams—producing my own complete EP—has begun to take shape since I made this choice. Balancing school, working on music, and now having my first child has certainly been a challenge, but I wouldn’t trade this life for anything in the world. It has taught me a valuable lesson: if you have a passion for something, no matter the obstacles that arise, always strive to invest in your dreams.

When you look back on your life, what are three things you expect to be proud of?
When I reflect on my life, three accomplishments stand out as the ones I am most proud of. First, I overcame every obstacle that stood in my way. Second, I persevered in the face of adversity. Finally, I never gave up, despite the discouraging words directed at me. Each of these three qualities—resilience, perseverance, and determination—can be challenging for entertainers, athletes, and businesspeople alike if they succumb to external negativity. However, if you possess greatness within you, you can rise above any challenge and ultimately fulfill your destiny in life.
