Today we’d like to introduce you to Frederick Williams II.
Hi Frederick, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My story started during COVID. I lost my job due to lay-offs because people were getting sick left and right. I have always been a cigar smoker since I was 20 years old. I started taking pictures of the cigar I would smoke and post it on my instagram and write what I liked or disliked about it. One day I had a conversation with my mom and dad. They were encouraging me to take my cigar blogging to YouTube and do Cigar Reviews. I named my youtube channel Cigar Head TV. Once I started, I hit the ground running and still loving what I do. Now, I have my own podcast show on YouTube as well called Cigar Avengers/Cigar Avengers Podcast. We blend cigars with sports, entertainment, and men’s mental health talk and conversations.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Ohhh definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. YouTube stopped paying cigar content. We get our content restricted and we receive no views or payment from it. It sucks but we cigar content creators continue to put out content for our enjoyment of cigars and how awesome and thoughtful the cigar community is in general. We continue to fight for our rights as cigar smokers. Tobacco to me is truly misunderstood and I truly feel if people would take out the time and study the history of tobacco, things would be a lot better. Also I have to give a huge shoutout to my beautiful wife for helping me through these tough obstacles as well.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m the creator and host of The Cigar Avengers, a long-form YouTube talk show and media platform that blends premium cigar culture with real conversations around sports, entertainment, entrepreneurship, and life. The show is built around authentic dialogue—no scripts, no gimmicks—just meaningful conversations over a cigar.
I specialize in creating a relaxed, welcoming environment where guests can be themselves and tell their stories beyond headlines or soundbites. What I’m known for is giving people space to open up—whether it’s industry leaders, athletes, comedians, or cigar makers—and allowing the audience to see the human side of who they are.
What I’m most proud of is building a platform that brings together diverse voices and bridges cultures through cigar culture. The Cigar Avengers isn’t just about cigars; it’s about community, respect, and storytelling. We’ve grown into a trusted space where guests feel comfortable having honest conversations that don’t normally happen on traditional media platforms.
What sets me apart is the atmosphere and the approach. We don’t rush conversations, we don’t chase controversy, and we don’t follow trends—we focus on authenticity. The cigar becomes a tool for connection, slowing things down and allowing conversations to breathe. That’s what makes The Cigar Avengers different, and that’s why people keep coming back.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I’ve learned on this journey is that authenticity, patience, and faith matter.
Building The Cigar Avengers taught me that real connection can’t be rushed or manufactured. The best moments on the show come when conversations are honest, unfiltered, and allowed to happen naturally—just like enjoying a cigar. I’ve learned that slowing down creates space for people to truly open up.
My faith in God has been a huge part of that lesson. There were moments when things didn’t move as fast as I wanted, doors didn’t open right away, or challenges showed up unexpectedly. In those moments, trusting God’s timing instead of my own reminded me to stay grounded, consistent, and focused on purpose rather than pressure.
I’ve learned that when you lead with integrity, humility, and faith, the right people and opportunities align. Community, trust, and purpose matter more than numbers or trends. That belief shapes how I run the show, how I treat guests, and how I continue building The Cigar Avengers—with intention, gratitude, and trust in the path God has laid out.
