Conversations with Gabrielle Dunn

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabrielle Dunn

Hi Gabrielle, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Saint Akir x Gabrielle was born during COVID as a creative outlet, allowing me to express myself freely. Over the years, I’ve gained invaluable insights—not just about running a business, but about myself.

I see Saint Akir Jewelry as an extension of who I am. Each piece tells a story, reflecting the places I’ve traveled, the people I’ve encountered, and the emotions I’ve experienced.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing worth having comes easy. Every day, I learn something new that shapes my next move.

Around the two-year mark, I hit a creative wall. No matter what I did, I couldn’t reconnect with what initially inspired me. The passion was still there, but I struggled to create what I felt was the “perfect” piece—something that truly spoke to me.

Over time, self-doubt crept in, and the feeling of failure lingered. But the pursuit of perfection was holding me back. I realized that perfection is an illusion—art, like life, isn’t meant to be flawless; it’s meant to be felt. When I let go of the pressure to create something “perfect” and instead embraced the process, I found my flow again.

The beautiful thing about life is that we always have a choice: to give up or to keep going, trusting in the vision that led us here in the first place.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
While my jewelry line is my most recognized work, another passion of mine is writing music. Creativity runs deep in everything I do.

What I’m most proud of is building my brand from the ground up—turning a vision into reality and pushing myself to take on new challenges every day. Growth isn’t always easy, but passion and perseverance make anything possible.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
There are too many people to name, but I want to thank all my friends and supporters of Saint Akir Jewelry. Your love and encouragement mean everything—I’m so grateful to have people like you pushing me toward greatness!

A special thank you to Kire Davis for putting me in the booth for the first time and helping me find my vibe.

To Sara and Viviana, thank you for capturing my jewelry so beautifully and bringing my vision to life.
