Conversations with Gina Lacy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gina Lacy.

Hi Gina, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Born in Dallas, Texas, my father, Pastor WA Howard and mother, Missionary Cleo Howard. My father built and Pastored the Howard Temple Church of God In Christ church in Terrell Texas. I started singing at the age of three on a plane with my mom coming from Los Angeles it was then she knew I had a talent (must have been really good 😀.) Later my love for fashion kicked in, adding in dislike of bullying and defending. I am a sparkle. I try to stay positive by keeping my peace if you have a nasty, rude demeanor, I will distance myself.

Met my husband after college at SMU. He, too is a Pastors son. We immediately connected, inseparable and still are today we truly love each other. He is now the Pastor of the Church that my father built and Pastored for 60 years. Gina’s Chronicles my show is me just Gina we inspire, encourage, support, educate and promote. We bring attention to subjects that I feel we don’t discuss enough. I am passionate and transparent but classy with a touch of country. My motto is 🐝 be kind in Unity with love ❤️ I want to spread that message to all because where there is unity, strength! I also enhance my community by rehabilitation of resumes and clothing to those who are going through a trial for a moment to help them still keep up and not fall back. I am a District Missionary working with the In the Church of God In Christ for the Progressive District my Superintendent is Pastor Lorenzo Plater and my Bishop is Bishop Nathiel Wells and State Mother Erma Parker. I am the mother of one son Luke Lacy born on Valentine’s Day ❤️. I am a paralegal, and I work for the US Department of Labor, so I am very busy keeping that sparkle going in Dallas and hopefully all over.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In 2011, I was diagnosed with diabetes type 2. My blood sugar level had reached 1145. I had no idea. However, I did what I needed to do with the help of the Lord, and I am down to one pill a day. You can rise above.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others
What sets me apart is my talent to create it ideas just comes to me, and I believe in what I feel. Professionally I specialize in contracts and analytical statistics. I am most proud of my Church work, my work in the community and Gina’s Chronicles.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Believe in yourself what is purposed in you no one else can counterfeit it. It’s yours! It’s you.
