Today we’d like to introduce you to Gisely Vera.
Hi Gisely, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m a 26 years old immigrant from Venezuela who decided to start over and I have done many different jobs here in the US until I finally found my passion which is Instagram content creator (@giselyv), now I’m working with cool brands and I share fashion/lifestyle content and have a beautiful +7k audience who supports me. Adulting and not knowing what to do with your life isn’t fun, but once you find your passion your life starts changing. Many challenges on the way, but still working on growing my brand and my personal life.
Another fun anecdote is I saved a bird 4 months ago, his name is Gary “the free bird”, and everyone loves him because he lives outside and he decides to come back to my apartment every day for food and love, he is really amazing and my neighbors love him too, he’s a wild bird but very friendly.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Time and content ideas are definitely struggles in my passion for content creator, because I still have another job so I can pay my bills, etc. and that problem is very common; people having more than one job, one to pay bills and the other one for passion and I plan to have more than one job until my passion can pay my bills. Lack of organization is also a problem, I’m a very organized person, but sometimes having too many tasks could be overwhelming.
Also, learning a new language/system when I moved to the US was tricky.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a content creator. My content is mainly about fashion and lifestyle and I’ve been working as a model too. My Instagram is @giselyv and I’m very proud about the growth I’ve had on Instagram since I’ve been investing more time/attention to my social media.
