Today we’d like to introduce you to Greta Poole.
Hi Greta, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Greta Poole, and I am an author from Round Rock, TX. I have a strong passion for my faith and using the gifts I have been given to show it. I have loved writing for as long as I can remember; always making short stories and writing songs. In 2020 (my Junior year of high school), I had become more intentional in my relationship with the Lord, and my love for the Gospel poured over into my writing. Around the same time I also became fascinated with apologetics and theology. I wanted to know everything there was to know about faith and how to defend it. I created a document with all that I had learned so that I could remember it in the case I would be in a debate or a conversation about faith as I have many times on social media. Soon after I began this personal study, I felt the Lord call me to put information to good use and write a book. What started as a personal hobby, quickly turned into a full-blown project. I spent three years of college researching, writing, and editing. With the help of my family, friends, and my co-editor, Jason Palmer, my dream of becoming a published author became a reality. I published my first book, Jesus is The Truth, in February 2025 through Kindle Direct Publishing. I have another book in the works that I hope to publish soon as well.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The process of publishing this book was challenging at times especially because I was writing it while in college. It was also difficult trying to narrow down what I wanted the focus of the book to be. There are many different versions that were written before we got to its final published version.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am an author who specializes in apologetics and theology. I am best know for my book, Jesus is The Truth, that was released last year. I became a published author at 22 years old, a few months before I graduated college. I had to balance school, work, and extracurriculars, all while working on this book (which was no small feat). But I am extremely grateful to have the tools that I do to make this possible.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
For me, my success is attributed to the Lord and the passion He has given me. I am the type of person who craves knowledge and desires to share that with others. This has been a huge motivation for me. I think it’s important that everyone knows how to defend what they believe, and for myself it’s no different.
