Conversations with Hunter Reynolds

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hunter Reynolds

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started my acting journey in theatre, but after a few years, I discovered a love for voiceover that completely captured my interest. While I was still in high school, I began taking voiceover classes, which introduced me to the fundamentals of the craft and deepened my passion for it. However, between the challenges of still being a student, the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, and growing responsibilities, it took some time for me to fully commit.

By the end of 2022, I shifted my focus back to voiceover, dedicating myself to honing my skills and refining my craft through classes and endless learning. Now, voiceover is a huge part of my life. Even outside the booth, my closest friends share the same passion, and if we’re not working, we’re definitely talking about it.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, but every struggle has shaped me into the artist I am today. One of the biggest challenges was improving myself in every way I could—such as learning how to market myself, navigating the technical aspects, and overcoming diction issues. Opportunities didn’t come easily, and self-doubt often crept in, especially when progress felt slow. There were moments when I questioned if I was on the right path, but each hurdle pushed me to grow. Those struggles taught me resilience and patience, and they’ve made every success feel even more rewarding.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Other than voice acting, I also do filmmaking on the side! I’ve been slowly finishing up a fun comedy called “My Dearest Nemesis”. I’ve recently started writing comics. I’m currently working on a comic strip and a one-shot, which has been challenging yet very fun and fulfilling. While I’m still new to the world of comics, I’m passionate about creating stories that connect with people.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Kindness, and a big part of that comes from the incredible support of my friend group. We’re all passionate about what we do, whether it’s voiceover or other creative pursuits, and we lift each other up every step of the way. They’ve been there to encourage me during tough times, celebrate wins, and even brainstorm ideas together. Having such a supportive and understanding group of friends reminds me to bring compassion in everything I do. It’s that kindness that has made all the difference in my journey.
