Today we’d like to introduce you to Isabelle Paulino.
Hi isabelle, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I never imagined that the photoshoots I loved as a kid could one day become my path to confidence and self-expression. Even as a child, I loved playing with clothes, though I was always self-conscious about my size. My mom often dressed me in colorful, playful outfits, and my friends and I would have little photoshoots at the mall or in backyards. That joy never really left me. As a teenager, I admired my brother modeling in Brazil, and I thought it was such an amazing accomplishment, even if it felt far from my own reality.
Growing up, I faced self-doubt and body-image struggles that made me hold back. Even so, I found small ways to express myself through photos and creative moments with friends.
As I got older, motherhood became my main focus, and modeling wasn’t something I pursued. A few years ago, after a difficult breakup and personal hardships, I felt the pull to reconnect with myself. I booked a photoshoot to feel confident again. What started as a personal step slowly grew into something bigger. Working with talented photographers in the DFW community and learning with each shoot helped me grow both creatively and professionally.
Over the past three years, I’ve grown in ways I never expected. I’m not the same person I was when I started. Modeling has helped me build confidence, embrace self-expression, and trust myself more fully. It’s still a journey, but one I enjoy. Looking back, I see how much I’ve grown, and I hope my story inspires others to find confidence and joy in their own journey.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I wouldn’t say it’s been the easiest road. My very first photoshoot felt very overwhelming. I was told there was a $50 deposit, but once I arrived, I was pressured to purchase a $10,000 package if I really wanted to become a “model.” I felt embarrassed and frustrated, and the photos I received weren’t even what I expected. That experience could have discouraged me, but instead it motivated me to take control. I did my research, learned how to spot red flags, and started connecting with photographers through TFP Facebook groups. Over the past three years, I’ve built meaningful relationships in the DFW modeling community, grown my skills, and discovered the confidence that comes from pursuing modeling on my own terms.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a model based in the DFW area, and over the past three years, I’ve been building my skills and collaborating with talented photographers, stylists, and creatives in the community. I specialize in lifestyle, fashion, and portrait work, and I love projects that allow me to tell a story through expression, movement, and style. Every shoot is an opportunity to explore something new, whether it’s trying different angles, experimenting with poses, or creating a unique look. I’m often told I can adapt to whatever the shoot needs. I like to think of myself as a chameleon, able to bring different moods, styles, and characters to life.
What sets me apart is my positive attitude and drive. I approach every project with enthusiasm and give my best each time, no matter the scale of the shoot. I think photographers and collaborators appreciate that I’m kind, down-to-earth, and easy to work with. Modeling for me isn’t just about getting a good photo; it’s about connection, creativity, and the energy you bring to a set.
I’m most proud of how much I’ve grown over the past few years. I’ve pushed myself outside my comfort zone, learned to trust my instincts, and embraced confidence in ways I never imagined. Every photoshoot has taught me something new, and the journey has helped me develop not only as a model but also as a person. I’m excited to keep learning, exploring, and seeing where this path takes me next.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
For anyone just starting out in modeling, my biggest advice is to be patient, stay curious, and trust yourself. Do your research, learn from others, and don’t be afraid to ask questions. It’s easy to get caught up in promises or feel pressured, but the best opportunities come from building genuine relationships and working with people who respect and support you. Always give your best at every shoot, be open to trying new things, and remember that confidence grows with experience. Most importantly, have fun and enjoy the process!!!! modeling should be about self-expression and discovering what you’re capable of.
