Hi James, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
My path to success has been more like a spirograph than a straight line. I have always known that I wanted to be in business, but what that looked like has eluded me until now. I have thought that I found my industry many times. From forklifts to 18-wheelers, laundry, and iron importing. Although those resulted in various degrees of success and failure, it is with technology and problem-solving that I have found my calling. I have three apps under my belt, with the current one being Laundry On Demand. It was a brainchild of my wife while we ran a mom-and-pop laundromat and laundry service in the suburbs of DFW. She saw how hard it was to make magic happen and suggested a peer-to-peer laundry service was a way to scale and make it easier. I balked at the idea and didn’t give it much thought for a couple of years and then realized that I had a great idea. It just so happened to be the same one she told me about a few years earlier. She let me know where it came from. From that point, we worked on the technology, created the business plan, sold the laundromat, and are now 100% invested in the launch of Laundry On Demand. It solves a few problems, but the biggest is it makes life easier. Now you can get fresh clean folded laundry picked up and delivered same day, allowing busy parents, professionals, and those that have trouble doing laundry the time to focus on the real things in life that matter.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
This journey has been full of learning opportunities. We have struggled with the same things every growing company encounters. Finding the best way to hire the best Laundry Pros has been the toughest. We have a solid strategy now, but that came at a great financial cost. Lots of mistakes in the journey.

The best advice I can give to anyone starting out is to start. You can’t win in business if you aren’t in business. Once there listen to your customers and don’t be afraid to pivot quickly if needed.
