Hi James, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve been rapping since I was 14 years old as a hobby and a way to escape the life I was in. It always helped me release inter anger and I’ve just recently learned to share my craft with the world.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No it hasn’t been a smooth road. Facing people who pose as music labels have been one of my biggest challenges because they’ll ask for money that I could’ve put into my craft.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an artist who specializes in hip hop/rap I’m known for having great word play and catchy beats. I’m most proud in the attraction I’ve had in a mere 4 months. My instagram is currently sitting at +70,000 views monthly. What sets me apart from others is my delivery, and I feel this way because I can rap on several type of beats and I have a lot of different flows for specific beats.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
I’ve had a mentor before and I’m currently looking for another. I feel like it’s a big advantage to have someone who’s been in your shoes before and made it to the next step. You can compare struggles and it’ll be easier to overcome challenges when you’ve had someone that faced those same struggles as you.
