Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Gramajo.
Hi Jasmine, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
The first time I picked up a camera was back in 2020. I had always loved playing soccer, but as I started thinking about my future, I wondered what I really wanted to do when I grew up. I decided to stop playing but still wanted to stay connected to the sport, so I began taking photos for my brother’s soccer team. That experience sparked my passion for photography, and I soon discovered that I enjoyed exploring many different styles and forms. I’m now in college pursuing a degree in Commercial Photography, and I consider myself a freelance photographer who captures moments in sports, architecture, product, and portrait photography.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
So far, the biggest challenge I’ve faced in my photography business has been finding clients and growing my reach, building connections and getting my work in front of more people is something I’m continuing to work on.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
One of my favorite forms of photography is architectural photography. I love capturing the details and character of buildings whether it’s the way they stand out at night or how they look throughout the day. In my free time, I also enjoy experimenting with long exposure photography, especially at night, to create dynamic and creative images.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I always tell others not to be afraid to put their name out there, because in the long run it really makes a difference and you’ll be grateful you did.
