Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremy Goodloe.
Hi Jeremy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started DJing because of my love for music. I had a house party one day and decided to DJ. Everybody there said I did a great job, and it took off from there! Now I’ve DJed all over the world.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I would say my journey has had its ups and downs. I’m self-taught so sometimes I’d get down on myself when I heard other DJs I consider to be better than me. But I learned that every DJ has their own style, and I had to master mine. I have not looked back since.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a DJ! I specialize in making every event I do feel like a special occasion. I want the event to be memorable and fun. The least of the worries at a party should be the music. I take pride in going above and beyond for my clients. I think what sets me apart is I really try to cater my sets to my audience and the parties that hire me. I usually do consultations before any event that I DJ.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
Yes, I’ve had a lot of help along the way. Many people deserve credit in my journey. My brother Steve let me borrow his equipment all the time when I first started. My friend Mojoe took me under his wing and really showed me the ins and outs of DJing. But most of all my clients. They continuously shout me out to their friends, and I always seem to book my business by word of mouth. That makes me feel like I’m doing something right.
