Today we’d like to introduce you to Johnny Dice
Hi Johnny, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Being in a managerial position through varies project for over 15 years, I recently transitioned into music which was always a passion of mine growing up in a house that played various music, especially Hispanic music, which I grew to love from my father. I currently manage an up and coming Reggaeton group, “Los Nenes Del Perreo.” The artist, originally from Monterrey Mexico and South Texas, created a following through their individual identities who include, Tavo Rayo, Maxx Gallo and Tavo Paez. I’m now in the position to take this talent from Mexico into to US looking for opportunities in the “Perreo” scene. Along with managing the group, I’m also involved in real estate for the DFW area. These opportunities I’ve received are attributed to my up brining and the lessons I learned early in life. I continue to look for additional ventures and opportunities but currently looking forward to the next opportunity with the group I manage potentially making a name in the DFW/ Austin area.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Growing up in Minnesota and later moving to Texas, my upbringing had some rough moments but over coming adversity was something taught to me at a young age thanks to my parents. Coming from humble beginnings, with my mom cutting hair and my dad taking on odd jobs, we didn’t have a stable housing situation. We sometimes had to live with family members for periods at a time. As I grew older, I understood the value of hard work and dedication which has molded me into the man I am today.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I have a strong understanding of what generates a positive emotion with music. Through identifying this, I seek artists who have strong ambition and goals to create a team to help elevate their journey. Currently proud of the recent tour the team and I completed performing shows in McAllen Tx, Monterrey MX and Saltillo MX. I’m currently looking for opportunities closer in the DFW area to help bring this talent to new audiences creating a wave of energy and excitement. I feel what sets me apart from others is my ability to listen. Being available and supportive while being honest providing effective criticism help earn my clients trust and suggestions.
What does success mean to you?
I define success as happiness. If you do what you love and you love what you do, you’ve succeeded in your venture. Now I understand happiness may not pay all the bills so I work hard to help drive profits to continue to do what I love.
