Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaylie Le.
Hi Kaylie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Growing up in a Vietnamese household, we didn’t say “I love you” out loud — instead, we showed it through different forms, one being food. Sharing a meal was how my family expressed care, comfort, and connection, and over time, food naturally became my love language.
During the pandemic, I started my cooking TikTok as a way to practice new recipes and share them with friends and family. What began as a small creative outlet quickly grew into a passion for connecting with others through recipes leading to my recipe videos going viral. — and eventually it inspired me to become a food content creator who shares homemade recipes and highlights local gems.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road for me personally. In the beginning, I struggled with finding my voice and confidence on camera — which is why I never filmed myself in my recipe videos and focused more on showcasing the food instead. Eventually through the process, I slowly started posting myself more in videos.
It can be so intimidating to put yourself out there, especially when you’re just starting any form on content creation. There were definitely moments of self-doubt. In times when self-doubt crept in it made me question if what I was doing was good enough, but I kept reminding myself that everyone starts somewhere and the only way to truly grow is to keep showing up for yourself and what you love.
But every challenge taught me something new — to reflect and share my content in a way that feels genuine to who I am as a person.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a Dallas-based food creator who loves sharing my homemade recipes and highlighting my favorite local food spots. I originally started my TikTok as a fun way to share my cooking videos and new recipes with friends and family. Over time, that passion evolved into exploring all the amazing restaurants around DFW and connecting with the food community and other creators here in the DFW.
What I’m most proud of is staying true to myself and creating content that feels real and authentic whether it’s showing casing recipes I make, to featuring local food gems — I want my content to make people feel connected.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory would definitely be our big family road trips across different states — my parents, sister, cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents all packed into cars together. My mom and aunts always packed homemade meals for the road — from Bánh Mì’s, Vietnamese Xoi, to all kinds of other Vietnamese dishes, and we’d stop at rest areas to eat as a family. Those trips were chaotic in the best way, and they made me realize that road trips became my ultimate love language as an adult.
