Conversations with Kenneth Clary

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenneth Clary.

Hi Kenneth, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I had no experience with a camera prior to 2022. I was currently a full time employee at a mortgage company and was also a worship pastor. At my church, we needed a social media presenence and so i volunteered to learn how to use a camera in order to teach someone during our services so they could take theh actual photos. Then I ended up really enjoying it! I began to see things on social media about real estate media and it sparked curiousity. In october of 2022 i heard the Lord tell me “DO REAL ESTATE PHOTOGRAPHRY”, i asked my wife if she was up for me purchasing a $300 course to learn how to do real estate photography in order to make some additional grocery money and she said “go for it!”

I didn’t know why the lord wanted me to do real estate media at that time. But 5 months later, i was let go from my full time job due to market shifts and not enough work to keep me and some others. It was at that point i knew why i the Lord told me to do real estate media. We have been going on 3 years not and have had the pleasure of serving a variety of clients from Johnson County, Tarrant County, Dallas County, Hood County, and Hill County. This is the most fun thing i have ever done in my life!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Smooth? haha No. lol The first year I started full time i only had about 3 clients that I had only served once. The struggle of starting your own business without the “know how” was definitely a challenge. Not to mention a year after I lost my job, my wife lost her job as well. So income dwindled, and so did our spirits. at the end of 2024 we had a major plumbing issue in our house we needed fixed which took all of our money. and with it being around the holidays, I had nearly 0 work. We made the hard decision to sell our house in October of 2024 and moved in with my in laws.

And then wierdly, january and february hit us with AMAZING amounts of work. So much to the point that we were able to move our family back to the home we though we lost. 2025 has been filled with favor from the lord. All bills paid, and enough money for us to be generous to others as well.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I do real estate media. Essentially I help real estate agetns with houses they are wanting to sell by providing listing photos and videos.

What sets us apart? I consider myself not just a media provider, and someone who assists in building brands. Photos and videos for a house is the foundation, but the overall goal is to assist agents in building strong personal brands.

it’s not about being the best in the business, it’s about being the most well known. Video is the best way to do this. We have become more well known and sought out for for our videos we provide. We get the agents on the camera to ensure they are top of mind for their audience. We say it like this, “photos sell the house, but video sells the agent.”

We are most proud of the relationships we have built among our clients. I have the opporunity to serve some of the best and what I consdier elite agetns around. It is a pleasure to not only assist them with their listings and brand building, but truly getting to know them.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I would find someone who is better than you and who you can aspire to be. Social medai is a great place. I have built many relationships on there by simply messaging and asking questions on how I can be better!

As far as networking, you gotta get out there! Go to realtor breakfasts, title companies, open houses, anything whree you can go to meet someone face to face!

What has worked best for me has been being intentional to build a social media presence, offer discounted shoots for new clients, and then meeting agents face to face. The more personal I can be to the realtor, the better!
