Hi kenneth, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Im Kenneth Smith owner/Founder of Fido’s Lair which is a digital store front for higher ticket dog product that are made in the USA. Fidos Lair support the American business. Fidos Lair list American made dog products of various brands but is 100% made in the USA. Our products may cost more than any marketplace but it’s better quality and craftsmanship than any mass production. I am the sole proprietor of Fidos Lair. I am still small but haven’t been live for very long. We are new to the USA but will soon be known with the support of the American dog people. Myself I had a bit of a run of bad luck in medical issues that prevent me from working so after a bit. I was looking for something with durability for my dog. Everything was the same everywhere I looked and made internationally not local. So I check around and dont find a digital high ticket American made dog products shopping website. Well after a few calls of concerns and interested inquiries. Fidos Lair was born. Our website is fidos-lair.com. you can find us on Google and leave review there.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I guess my main struggle is keeping in good standing with Google. They are stricked but worth it. Marketing can be a large challenge just trying to find what’s suitable for you. Theres so many agencies to chose from. Honesty from suppliers was a ridiculous challenge. Thats another reason im American made products now. The American manufacturers has been Honest with me.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Not a lot to say on this. I was a truck driver for 25 years. Local rock truck. Long haul coast to coast. I done a little of everything. Now with the medical issues I have I am solely into Fidos Lair my digital storefront fidos-lair.com.
What’s next?
My future plans and hopes that im reaching for are to be able to make sure my kids and grandkids are financially taken care of to the best of my ability. You never know how life is going to turn out to be.
