Today we’d like to introduce you to Manvitha/Nuzhat.
Hi Manvitha/Nuzhat, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Me (Manvitha) and my best friend and business partner, Nuzhat started our photography business in November 2019. Nuzhat had always loved photography, and our very first shoot was when she took photos of me. For the first time, I actually liked how I looked in pictures, and that moment led me to suggest that we start a photography business on the side.
We booked our first photo session as a pre-engagement shoot and then our first event on February 14, 2020. When COVID hit, we thought it would be bad for business, but it turned out to work in our favor. Around that time, backyard weddings became very popular, with couples choosing small, intimate celebrations. That is really how we got started, as people were looking for smaller photography teams for these events.
Over the years, we gained more clients and experience, and also did product photography along the way. NA Lights stands for Nuzhat Nasser and Manvitha Argula and represents both of us and our partnership.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Absolutely not. The journey hasn’t been smooth at all. We faced some tough periods, especially in 2022 and 2023, when we had to step back due to school and work responsibilities. The wedding industry is highly competitive, and building a portfolio requires years of dedicated effort. Those challenges tested us, but they also helped us grow, refine our skills, and truly understand what it takes to build something sustainable. We came back more confident and more intentional about our work.

We are a photography team focused on capturing genuine moments and making people feel at ease in front of the camera. We specialize in weddings, intimate events, and lifestyle shoots, especially smaller, personal celebrations where emotion and connection take center stage. Our approach is natural and candid, with a strong emphasis on storytelling over stiff, posed images.
We’re known for creating a relaxed environment where clients can truly be themselves, even if they’ve never felt confident being photographed before. What we’re most proud of is the trust our clients place in us and the way they leave feeling seen, comfortable, and confident, not just with beautiful photos.
What sets us apart is our partnership. As best friends and business partners, we bring empathy, intuition, and attention to detail to every shoot. We genuinely care about the people we photograph, and that care is reflected in our work.
Any big plans?
We’re excited to grow by connecting with other artists and collaborating on more creative shoots while continuing to focus on weddings that align with our style. We want to keep pushing our creativity, refining our storytelling, and building work that feels meaningful and true to us.
Pricing:
- Graduation For our prices we either do hourly bases or package deals. So hourly it will be $200. Packages are 2 hours for $270, 3 hours $370. Every extra 30 mins will be $50 charge. Every extra hour is $100 Location prices include $10-60
- Wedding Photography Prices: For 2 hours for $400, 3 hours for $700, 4 hours for $950, 5 hours for $1100, 6 hours for $1300, 7 hours $1600, 8 hours $2000. Every extra 30 mins will be $200 charge. Every extra hour we do $400. Location prices include $30-60 each location depending on the locations. These prices are the same for videography.
- Birthday and Portrait For our prices we either do hourly bases or package deals. So hourly it will be $200. Packages are 2 hours for $380, 3 hours $500, 4 hours $650, 5 hours $800 Every extra 30 mins will be $100 charge. Every extra hour will be $200 extra. Location prices include $30-60
- Proposal and Pre Engagement For our prices we either do hourly bases or package deals. So hourly it will be $200. Packages are 2 hours for $480, 3 hours $500, 4 hours $600.
