Today we’d like to introduce you to Micheline Kianza.
Micheline, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hi! My name is Micheline Kianza, I’m an actor, a writer, and a digital creator. Shortly after moving to Fort Worth from New York, the pandemic hit, and just like everyone else, I found myself stuck at home. As a creative and someone who doesn’t do well staying still, I had to find a way to keep myself busy, so I started taking pictures (with the help of my husband) and a few months in, I became a fashion and lifestyle creator at MICHLLENE. A year later, I launched my YouTube channel. Since last spring, I have rebranded and I’m the creator at Haute Millennial (Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube) where I focus on fashion, lifestyle, and women empowerment.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Hahaha… No! Early on, I struggled with finding my tribe, but one can blame it on the lack of experience I had and my inability to convey my message. Though that’s something I’m more comfortable with now, the road is still not that smooth. But I’m focused on staying consistent and creating valuable contents. Timing is everything.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a digital creator and my brand is called Haute Millennial where I create content on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. I specialize in fashion where I incorporate classy and edgy looks while encouraging women to be their authentic selves unapologetically. I’d say that I’m known for my confidence, the support I show other women, and my sense of style.
I’m proud to show women that they aren’t alone in whatever they are facing nor are they less than because of their lives circumstances. I understand that I’m in a highly competitive industry where support and encouragement go a long way, and I pride myself for providing that to my fellow women I come across. We are stronger together.
What sets me apart from others is being me. The fact that there is only one me is a gift. As many creators as there are, being authentic is crucial because only then you can attract the right tribe and ultimately, succeed. Being myself and staying true to who I am is what set me apart.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Yes! I love listening to Work Party by Jocelyn Jonson and More Than That by Gia Peppers Podcasts. I recently also discovered Rob Dial, a mindset coach (I believe?) on YouTube; he’s great.
