Conversations with Mindy Carter

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mindy Carter.

Mindy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started creating content in April of 2025 after being told for several years to step out and do it. It’s been a lot of hard work, trial and error, and learning along the way.

I love encouraging others- especially women- through relationships, faith and real- life. Fashion has always been a passion of mine, so getting to combine all of that feels like a win-win.

The encouragement I’ve received from friends, family and even people I don’t really know has fuel me. It’s been humbling to see how God uses people I’ve never met to encourage me in ways I didn’t expect. Sometimes those closest to us quietly observe while strangers become unexpected cheerleaders- and I don’t take that lightly!

There have definitely been moments I have wanted to quit, but God has gently nudged me forward, reminding me, that this isn’t about me, it’s about using what He has given me! I just turned 51, and we just celebrated 32 years of marriage. We have a beautiful family and lot of real life experience we feel called to share.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, not even close! Creating content isn’t easy and growing a following takes time, consistency and a lot of patience. I show up every day even on days when it feels hard or uncomfortable. My heart has always been to show up as myself- to be authentic and genuine- and to let people know I truly care. That can be challenging through a screen and on a platform like social media, but it’s important to me. If people walk away feeling encouraged, seen, or reminded they’re not alone then it’s worth it!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I create content that is a mix of fashion, family, faith and honestly anything else I feel lead to share. I love to laugh, so there’s always room for humor! I don’t want my page to feel perfect or curated because that’s not real life. I am a YOLO (you only live once) person and I want my content to reflect that!

I am incredibly proud of my husband and me for reaching 32 years of marriage, proud of our family and proud that I haven’t quit! What really sets me apart is my family and the life we have built together! I also bring a unique perspective from my life experience of being mixed and adopted in the 70’s, which has shaped who I am and how I connect with others.

How do you think about happiness?
My joy comes from the Lord! Without my faith, I truly have nothing- it’s the foundation of who I am. My husband is my rock and biggest supporter. Our sons, daughter in law and the absolute joy of all our hearts- our granddaughter- mean everything me! She is the love of our lives and a constant reminder of Gods goodness.
