Today we’d like to introduce you to Patricia Duran.
Hi Patricia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Ever since I could remember I knew I wanted to do something that involved me helping others. Growing up I would see the struggles my mom would go through just to make ends meet, even then she would always find a way to help others in any way she could. She was truly a role model for me! Shortly after her passing, I became a mother at a very young age. Raising a child being a child myself was definitely a challenge, I found myself losing focus on what life I wanted for me and my daughter. Working in the corporate world was not for me, I constantly found myself unhappy. Fast forward a couple years, I was introduced to Real Estate, my sister started investing and I just fell in love with everything about it. I then decided to become a realtor; however, it did take me a while to finally take that leap and get licensed. After 2 years of back and forth, I finally finished school and got my license! Being in a position now where I can use my knowledge to help others in finding their dream homes is truly rewarding.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
How easy would life be if it was a smooth road, am I right? There has definitely been bumps along the way. I have always struggled with social anxiety and been a very shy person, breaking out of that shell and evolving as a person was a challenge. Having to put myself out there was a learning process, many times I would be unsure of myself. Being new to this industry can be very intimidating in the beginning, but having a great mentor by my side is definitely key!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a Realtor at Evolve Real Estate. My main goal is to help my clients buy, sell or lease their homes and making it a smooth transaction every time. I give every client the time and attention they deserve, listening to their wants and needs and checking off all their boxes. I take all their interest at heart, working with them at the time that is most convenient for them. Taking the time to study and know the market for both buyers and sellers.
