Today we’d like to introduce you to Sabina Yochum.
Hi Sabina, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I first fell in love with all things wedding when I planned my own wedding almost 4 years ago now! When an opening for a part-time bridal stylist popped up at a local boutique, I hopped on the opportunity to work my way into the business side of weddings. Almost 2 years later, I was presented with the opportunity to open up my own bridal boutique and I couldn’t resist. Thus, Emerald Bridal Lounge came to life!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The first year of Emerald had many obstacles! I was a first-time mom, working a full-time job for my husband’s family company helping to run the front office, AND bringing this idea of an inclusive bridal boutique to life! Trying to find balance in all of this was a huge challenge and quite honestly was just a pure grind. As of 12/31/21, I left the corporate world and am full-time at Emerald helping brides feel the love that they deserve! Through the struggles came so many beautiful blessings. Without my right-hand woman, Caitlyn Meyer, none of this would have been possible! She has been a rock in bringing this path God has paved to life.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We celebrate every bride and every story! No matter the bride’s journey, we celebrate their love by finding them a wedding dress that embellishes their personality, soul, everything that makes them who they are. We’re most proud of the splash we’ve made in the wedding world by helping brides who feel as if they don’t fit a certain mold, feel worthy of the love they’ve found and beautiful in the skin they’re in.
What are your plans for the future?
Our plans are to continue to serve brides. To spread this message to brides that they don’t have to fit that “Pinterest-worthy” mold. They are beautiful NOW!
