Today we’d like to introduce you to Sheila Carroll. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Sheila Carroll has a very colorful lineage. She is the 21st granddaughter of King Henry III and the 10th great-niece of President Zachary Taylor. Sheila’s lineage also includes bankers, farmers, preachers, and even some mystical, magical witches.
Sheila has always enjoyed writing and uses her talents as a creative outlet. She’s written many books with her latest literary work being an LGBTQ mystery, “Goodnight Sweetheart” which offers its readers a lot of unexpected twists and turns. Readers will experience a wealth of emotions as they read each page.
The stories she tells are mainly fiction, but if the reader looks closely, they will find a little reality lurking between the lines of each story.
Sheila is 57 yrs. old but feels she is just getting started; she has lived an exciting life and has many more stories to tell.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Anything worth pursuing usually isn’t easy. One struggle I’ve found is finding the time to write. Writing at this point is a hobby.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an author who loves to share a good story. My specialization includes fiction, mystery/crime, and children’s horror. I’m best known for “Goodnight Sweetheart.” An LGBTQ mystery that will have you laughing, crying, and cheering after the likable characters succeed or fail. With this specific novel, I’m most proud that it shares a story of triumph and obstacles encountered by the LGBTQ community. My purpose for writing this novel was: to allow the heterosexual community to understand that the homosexual community encounters many of the same issues as they do and to shed light on the fact that the homosexual community has a high mortality rate of suicide. Once light has been shed on that fact, my hopes are that help will be sought.
“Goodnight Sweetheart” has surpassed my hopes and became one of Amazon’s best sellers at #8 in the US and #3 in the UK. I believe it’s a story that has the ability to entertain all walks of life.
What sets me apart from others is my desire to offer a life lesson in my writings that can be helpful to all of its readers.
What are your plans for the future?
My plans for the future include adapting my novel, “Goodnight Sweetheart” into a featured film. I also plan on continuing co-writing with my daughter, Tasha Walker-Carroll, on our exciting children’s series of Bumps In the Night.
