Conversations with Sho Konishi

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sho Konishi.

Sho Konishi

Hi Sho, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I graduated from three fashion schools in Tokyo, Paris, and NY. My last college I graduated in 2019 and I have started my brand since then. I do multiple works as different directions, but all I do is about Fashion. I teach fashion design, and I have started my online fashion education system “Sho_Konishi_Design_Lab” in 2017 where I support young generations to apply to fashion/art colleges for their study abroad or publish their brands. I make made-by-order items of clothing for my clients and make ready-to-wear collection for NY Fashion Week.

After I worked for Tokyo Paralympics opening ceremony in 2021 in Tokyo, I also started to work in Tokyo as costume designer and stylist.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I feel I am lucky. I had some struggles until now, but I feel so blessed that I came this far. But finance was/is always made my journey difficult since I was from a poor family. And Language.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Fashion Design.

Tokyo Paralympics Opening ceremony costume design.

Dressed multiple celebrity clients such as Beyonce, Lizzo, Paris Hilton, and so on.

Working for UNIQLO as sustainable project special collaborator.

I have many things I am proud of and appreciate.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
If we can have a face-to-face online interview, I can share my story better.
