Today we’d like to introduce you to Shon Robinson.
Hi Shon, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My story is very unique, my motivation came from college. I was involved in a life-threatening car accident that sidelined me from basketball for an entire year and 2 months. I broke 11 bones and had 6 surgeries. I fought through the pain and setbacks and pushed my body back to better than it was before. Became a professional athlete and also opened a training business. I had friends who were out of shape and wanted to make change so I dedicated extra time to getting them to a better lifestyle. Once I saw change in them Thought about others, I enjoy helping people so I made a business out of it. I work out 6 days a week so it comes second nature to me. I have all the knowledge necessary to get a person where they want be.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It had been both smooth and rough, more so smooth because I have been through what I like to think is the toughest thing I beat death! Only saying it’s rough because there are daily trials as tribulations with family and friends nothing, I can’t handle I’m extremely blessed
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Well, I wander a vow to myself to put 24 hrs. to myself and my own business. I’ve always worked for myself and opened my own businesses. I have had businesses in multiple areas. Eyebrows, personal training, solar panels, and also consultation within other major business groups and also playing basketball professionally overseas. I would have to say my most proudest moment has been getting a master’s degree in criminology and forensic science
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
The one thing I wish I knew when I was younger was. Put you all into one thing master it and then move on to other things instead of trying to do multiple things at once! Master your craft
