Today we’d like to introduce you to Tempestt Jackson-Poma
Hi Tempestt, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started my brand back in September 2015. I have always wanted to be an entrepreneur, although it has been challenging I am so glad I started.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely! It’s been plenty of up’s and down’s throughout this entrepreneurial process, just recently I loss my little brother, so continuing this journey of entrepreneurship is not easy, some days I want to quit and some days I’m motivated to continue.
Also my sister & I started a foundation in honor of our late brother called The CJ foundation to make people aware of drug abuse and all the effects it causes Fentanyl kills, so be careful of all these street drugs.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I have several businesses but by far my skin care line is my favorite I just started this line July 2023 it’s called Skin Care By T.Jakari ©️ and I hand craft every single product to maintain skin health.
My other brand I started 17 THE BRAND has been doing very well and with this brand; I specialize in clothing & cosmetics. We will be releasing our first lip balm this summer called “Soft Kisses” and I am super excited about that, and what sets my brand apart from others is my creative ability, my consistency, and my self confidence. Doing what I was put here to do and that’s be myself.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I see my industry expanding and doing very well. It’s so many changes going on around us. Everyone should start their own business, honestly we don’t know where our economy is headed so be proactive.
