Conversations with Tiffany Becerra

Today we’re excited to be connecting with Tiffany Becerra again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.

Tiffany, always such a pleasure connecting with you and thank you for sharing your stories, insights and inspiring messages with our community. We’re looking forward to getting the download and what you have been up to since our last interview, but first can you briefly introduce yourself to folks who might have missed the prior conversation.
I kicked off my career in 2012 at a physician staffing firm, and that’s where I found my groove in recruiting. It wasn’t long before I moved into corporate talent acquisition, and from there, I built a recruiting department from scratch at a company that needed serious help. That experience lit a fire in me, and I ended up co-founding Net Gold, where I now specialize in placing high-level candidates in senior corporate roles.

I also help people level up their resumes and LinkedIn profiles to stand out in a crowded market. What sets me apart? I’m all about giving my clients personalized, no-BS guidance—whether they’re entry-level or aiming for the C-suite. And while I’m always on top of the latest tech in recruiting, I make sure the human touch is never lost in the process.

It’s been a wild ride, but I’m here to help people make bold moves and take control of their careers.

Alright, so our main goal today is to give our audience an update on what you have been up to since our last conversation. We’d love to hear how things are going and what you are most looking forward to or excited about these days.
Here’s the deal—when I first dove into the world of headhunting, I wasn’t messing around. I went straight for the big players—the top companies, the start-ups, and even the billion-dollar firms. My job? Finding the best of the best. And I did it using LinkedIn. I hunted down executives, thought leaders, and game-changers. If you were someone who could make a serious impact, I found you. I didn’t settle for mediocrity, and neither did my clients.

Fast forward to today, and my focus has shifted. The resume business is booming, and I’ve doubled down on helping people navigate the mess that is today’s job market. Companies are laying people off while also posting fake jobs, so I’m out here helping clients strategize how to stand out in an overcrowded, often broken system. I always say, “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know,” because right now, networking is everything. You can’t just rely on an online application to get your foot in the door—you need to build those real connections that get you noticed.

Recruiting may have lost its shine, but the hustle is real, and I’m here to help people cut through the noise and make their next career move a game-changer.

Alright, so let’s do something a bit more fast-paced and lighthearted. We call this our lightning round and we’ll ask you a few quick questions.

What do you want people to remember about you and your brand? What are some of things that you feel are most important, unique, special, etc?
When it comes to my brand, I want people to remember one thing: I’m unique, and I don’t sugar-coat things. I’m not here to give you a polished, feel-good version of reality. I’m here to give it to you straight. And here’s what sets me apart: I’m not a resume writer by trade, but I’ve studied thousands—maybe even millions—of resumes. I’ve seen what works, what doesn’t, and what catches the eye of a recruiter or CEO. That’s how I approach every resume I work on: with a fresh perspective, focusing on what truly matters, and making sure it stands out to decision-makers. It’s all about strategy, realness, and helping you make a lasting impression.
