Hi Tiffany, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
I started my journey wanting to leave a legacy and break generational curses. I seen my mom go through a lot and I knew I wanted better for me & my future family. I knew I wanted kids one day and didn’t want them to want for anything. I always wanted my own business and didn’t have the financial means to do so. Covid 19 hit and I was stuck at home as my job put us on furlough. That allowed me the time to come up with my business. Time to think about what’s a necessity and not a need, something that people can use and need on a daily basis. I always only used cocoa butter on myself because it was natural and was beneficial for my skin So wanted to do the same for others. I also had people around me that I looked at how driven and determined they where about their business which motivated me.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting off was hard. I knew nothing about starting a business. I asked people I knew with their own business lots of questions and did lots of research. I had help from friends to sample my products and give me feedback about it. So, there was a lot of trial and error. Making sure packaging was right and creating labels was hard. Marketing to get people to trust my product was hard. I started doing vendor events at Real Rare poetry shows to help with marketing. Created a website which is hard as well and I’m still learning as I go. I had to learn how to use social media for marketing and how to collaborate with people. It’s still a learning experience and I learn something new about it every day that I can utilize for my business. The Key is that I don’t and never give up
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a pharmacy benefits coordinator in the healthcare field that assist with high copay cost of chronic illness medications. I love to know I can help someone in any kind of way big or small. Getting the recognition that I’m helping someone feels good. So, when I get the reviews on real rare naturls products doing wonders for people skin it makes me smile and I know I’m doing something right and to keep going.
What sets me apart from others is I concentrate on all skin types so it can be something men and women can use especially if they have sensitive skin, eczema, acne and etc. Real Rare Naturals products are face sensitive and baby safe. Starting this business and continue to keep it going is what I’m most proud of. I personally hand make every single one of my products on my own, create my own scents and labels.
What do you think about happiness?
I believe it is important to be happy. Its important to create your own happiness and not to rely on someone else to make you happy. I’m happy because I’m Being my own boss cause I’m in control and running things on my own with my own rules. Eat me a good meal while doing so and my heart is happy lol
