Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany McPherson.
Hi Tiffany , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I jumped headfirst into permanent jewelry before it was even popular in this area — just a small-town girl with a welder, a dream, and a whole lot of curiosity. Three years later, I’m still at it and still completely in love with what I do. As a high school teacher and creative, the idea of making something meaningful and lasting for people hooked me from the start. I practiced on patient friends and family, set up at local markets, and before long Eighter Jewelry Co. grew into this sweet little North Texas business.
At the heart of it all is community. I love serving the moms, daughters, best friends, and families who show up, cheer me on, and let me be part of their moments. There’s something special about small towns — word travels fast, relationships run deep, and every pop-up feels like a reunion. Watching this business grow into a “wisely welded” staple in North Texas has been the biggest blessing, and I’m grateful every day that I get to do this right here in Wise County.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I started this business before permanent jewelry was even popular, so a lot of my learning came from trial and error including figuring out my equipment, sourcing quality materials, building my brand, and showing up to events even when I wasn’t sure anyone else would. And doing all of this while still teaching full time added its own challenges. There were plenty of long days at school followed by late nights welding, planning, or packing up for the next pop-up.
But those challenges also shaped me. They taught me resilience, patience, and how much I truly love this work. What really kept me moving forward was my North Texas community — the small-town support, the word-of-mouth kindness, the familiar faces who show up again and again. They’re the reason Eighter Jewelry Co. has become what it is today.
The road hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been incredibly meaningful.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I create permanent jewelry that’s meant to be lived in! I use high-quality chains and connectors in sterling, gold-filled, and add a little bit of that western-chic flair I love. I’m known for my small-town North Texas roots, my welcoming pop-ups, and a “wisely welded” experience that feels personal, fun, and meaningful.
What truly sets me apart is the heart behind it. I’m still a full-time teacher, so connection is in everything I do. Every weld comes with conversation, a story, and usually a laugh. People aren’t just getting jewelry… they’re making a memory.
I’m proud that this little side business has grown into something my community looks for, supports, and returns to.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was the baby of my local family, my dad’s only girl and my mom’s only child… I was VERY spoiled in the sweetest small-town way. I loved anything pink, frilly, and western. I grew up around horses and cattle, spent countless weekends at rodeos, and pretty much lived that classic North Texas cowgirl childhood.
Even though I was fairly shy in school, I always leaned toward anything creative. FCCLA became my place to shine, and I even held regional leadership positions that pushed me to grow and find confidence in my own voice. Then I went to college at WTAMU, and that’s where everything shifted — I came out of my shell and fully embraced my “rhinestone cowgirl” era in my sorority Delta Zeta. Big hair, lots of turquoise, and even bigger personality.
Looking back, every stage makes sense — the small-town roots, the rodeo life, the creative spark, and the western-chic confidence. All those pieces are exactly what show up in who I am today and the heart behind Eighter Jewelry Co.
