Conversations with Tyana Moore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyana Moore.

Hi Tyana, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m creative. That’s the best way to describe me because I have multiple talents. I can choreograph a dance for you, design your set or space and photograph the results.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My biggest struggle was breaking away from labels. The “what do you do for a living question” would give me anxiety. Because I enjoy all things visual, it was hard to figure out how to choose one and make a career. People would tell me it was confusing and that I needed to find a niche to be a successful entrepreneur. But I can do multiple things, and that makes me stand out.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The work that I’m most proud are my three beautiful daughters, lol. But honestly, I recently tapped into birth photography last year, and it’s the most empowering work I have ever done! I love it and plan to develop a body of work around it.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts, or blogs that help you do your best?
I hope this doesn’t sound cliche, but I favor bible plans on the Bible app. That’s the only thing that consistently inspires me to walk in my purpose. Two of my favorites are Change Your Mind From Employee To Entrepreneur by Dr. Amos Johnson with Church for entrepreneurs and Make Every Day Count by Joyce Meyer.
