Conversations with Vivian Le

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vivian Le.

Hi Vivian, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I have always wanted to be one of the first Asian Americans to “make it out” my community. I was raised in Pleasant Grove/Mesquite area in Dallas, TX; you would never see that many Vietnamese citizens in the community. My parents are known for their small business, nail salon, and I always loved being in the mix with social media or content making. Fashion was something I was passionate about other than photography and the sport I did growing up (gymnastics).

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I would not call it a struggle, but I would not be consistent with want I wanted to do with my social media platforms. Today, I realize I am still able to do what I want and make a name for myself if I continue to show others who I really am as an Asian-American trying to create a name for herself.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an upcoming content creator. My Instagram is where I post the most, with my fashion outfits and posting daily activities/moments on my story. I actually have a personal page and my small businesses accounts (personal training + mink false lashes business). I am also on TikTok where I post more aesthetic short videos and some dancing trends. I recently just started my YouTube Channel not too long ago, and I am super excited for that because I pushed that back for 2-3 years.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I personally have not taken any “risks” as in I always did my content the way I want to do it and never thought about how others. may feel or talk about it. The only “risk” I can really say I did was force myself to get out there and just start posting my own content without the opinions of others involved.
