Hi Whitney & Sharon, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
We are a mother & daughter duo originally from Providence, RI. With having a New England background, it is the norm to enjoy a nice hot cup of tea anytime. Now that we reside in Texas, we’ve adopted the southern pleasures of a tall cold glass of iced tea. The beauty of tea for us, starts at its loose state which offers a variety of health benefits along with the versatility of flavor. Due to a family history of diabetes, we love that each individual can put their own personal touch on how they’d like to prepare their tea. Whitney envisioned Sip on This, Tea from the passion she saw me exhibit when blending and making tea for myself and others. When my children did not feel well I would make them tea. It was like being in a happy place. Whitney began having serious conversations with me about sharing our love for tea with others and ultimately opening our very own tea house. While visiting my dad, Whitney & I ran across a loose-leaf tea shop. This was the confirmation of our vision in real life. From that day, Sip On This, Tea became a reality.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Because faith is our key ingredient, Sip On This, Tea is running smoothly. Then we added family + friends + great connections, it all adds up to continued success and we are humbly grateful. We have encountered areas of opportunity, but for the most part we are having fun and loving what we do. We continue to learn the how to’s in growing our business.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We founded Sip On This, Tea with one goal in mind: providing a high-quality, loose leaf tea experience. We want loose leaf tea to be enjoyed by all, those that have never tried loose leaf, those looking for a healthy alternative and those boxed tea drinkers. Our love and passion for tea has driven us from the beginning and continues to drive us into the future. We know that every product counts, and we strive to make your experience as rewarding as possible. We just ask that you give us an opportunity, try us out. Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
We are always complimented on our packaging. Something that a lot of people are surprised to know is that we label every packet, hand stamp every box, stuff every tea packet and freshly brew every bottled tea.
