Daily Inspiration: Meet Abel Velasco

Today we’d like to introduce you to Abel Velasco.

Hi Abel, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
So when I came into the US from El Salvador my first competitive team was Footy Factory, so I’ve been knowing Sean and part of the Footy family for 10 years now. I decided to coach with them because for one I love the sport and I want to pass the love I have with this sport to other people and enjoy teaching people.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I really struggled with that confidence you needed in the beginning but it has gotten better now but I know from here on the challenges are gonna get more and more harder and i hope to over come them and help make footy factory a success.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Personal coach so my job is technically just helping and teaching kids about soccer and making them improve their skills. What I’m most proud of is how at my young age I have the ability to teach people from my experience as a soccer player and share my love for the sport with others. What sets me apart is my passion for the sport because it runs in me like blood, also how I always wanna learn even as a coach.

What’s next?
My future plans is taking evyrhing I learn from coaching and putting in a future job or life. I also want to have my own company soccer related. My big dream is to help other athletes and inspires them.
