Today we’d like to introduce you to Airto “AC” Castañeda-Cudney.
Hi Airto “AC”, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I discovered the art of cold brewing a decade ago while working for a childhood friend’s startup in my hometown. Immersed in the “ins and outs” of the industry, I fell in love with the hustle and decided to launch my own brand here in Dallas. For the past eight years, I have intentionally focused on a select group of clients to refine my process and perfect my quality. This disciplined approach in my growth has allowed me to scale sustainably. While the journey has had its share of challenges, the guidance of mentors and established entrepreneurs has been invaluable. As I’ve grown personally, my business has matured with me, resulting in a deeply client-centric approach and a product that reflects years of dedicated craft.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It most definitely has not be a smooth road but my difficulties were no different than any other entrepreneur. My journey has faced and overcome the Covid pandemic, floods and fires.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
When I’m not perfecting my cold brew, I’m running Dope Ellum. We’re a marketing media company focused on bringing people together through art and music. I’m passionate about supporting local entrepreneurs and creatives—helping them chase their dreams allows me to give back and mentor others using my own experiences.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Maintaining an open mind and practicing regular self-reflection are, in my view, essential characteristics for lasting success.
